Chris Cheyette

Chris is senior diabetes dietitian at Kings College Hospital. He works with a wide range of people with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes. He has also set up his own publishing company and co-authored the best-selling Carbs & Cals books and smartphone app.

Chris has worked on a number of projects over the years, many with a goal of improving educational resources for people with diabetes. These include an educational DVD for young people with diabetes, which earned me the 2007 British Dietetic Association (BDA) Elizabeth Washington and his more recent work on Carbs & Cals which earned him the 2011 Dame Barbara Clayton award for innovative practice in dietetics. The app has also been awarded the Complete Nutrition magazine product of the year 2011-2012.

Chris has published a number of journal articles relating to diabetes and weight management. He regularly undertakes local and national presentations to health professionals in the field of diabetes and has done a number of television and newspaper interviews in his role as a BDA media spokesperson.
